The Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) and the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) have changed the College Board’s status on the Student Privacy Pledge to “under review.” This action comes in response to concerns about the College Board’s information usage practices. The College Board has been proactive in working with our staff as we assess their practices and has indicated that it is immediately changing its policy to prohibit re-disclosures by colleges or other partners. We will be working to confirm these steps and to assess any further steps that the College Board must make to honor the spirit and the letter of the Pledge.
